I did pass by Winfield Fire Station 31 today and happened to ask one of the firefighters who was sitting outside when will their new Stuphen arrive, he told me September or October this year! That is about 22 months after they ordered it! 18 months is not bad overall. I have been looking at Pierce website they are still building units that were designed in 2022!

18 month lead time is amazing considering current affairs!!! Some of the other manufacturers are stating 900 – 1,000 days!

The 2010 is still at MacQueen, waiting on parts from the factory. If keeping score…..it has been there since July of 2022. Once the new one comes in, we will evaluate the 2000 and the 2010 to see what makes more sense to keep around. So far, the Lombard rig has been good.

18 months for a tower ladder isn’t bad. That’s actually about normal. It will probably be done sooner then 18 months but 15-18 months was the norm. Pierce and their 36 month wait is just to push people into buying demos at high prices so they don’t have to custom build things. Pierce 36-48 months for custom or you can buy this “in production” that will be done in 6-12 months, if it’s not done already built

They are currently running the 2000 Dash from Lombard. Was the 2010 Pierce ever able to be repaired, or was it totaled? When the new E-One arrives which one will be in reserve the old Lombard Tower or will they have the 2010 Pierce in reserve?

Ok, I am not all that familiar with how long it should take to build a ladder truck, 18 months dose seem like a long time start to finish!
