LFD, the MIH Community Paramedics are assigned three Ford Transit passenger vans wrapped in a Chicago-flag style light blue wrap. Each van was previously white with a Chicago seal. They carry CFD shop numbers, and generally are parked at Academy South or the Quinn.

The new contract is for E-450s and F450s, neither E-350s nor F350s are involved in it. This should be an E-450.

I’m fairly certain the reason for the 350 instead of the 450 is to fit in smaller firehouses. That’s why the contract is half F-450s and Half E-350s to accommodate for differently sized firhouses

Looks good and the E350 is a good chassis. I would rather see the city purchase the E450 and put a bigger/taller box on it than spend money on fancy graphics.

Whether you like it or not, chances are this is the only day this unit will look this good. Nothing currently scratched, crumpled, bent, or about to fall off. The wheels are even still white – not impregnated with brake dust. But as far as the looks are concerned, definitely not the most attractive. But again, they never have been either.

Hope this is a Chicago Fire TV show rig and not an actual working rig. Looks like a P.O.S. with those graphics. Especially with that huge fugly graphic on the back.

Where was this photo taken at?

There was a Type 1 ambulance on a Chevy chassis that resembled the Chicago box. It wasn’t lettered yet and I’m not even sure it’s going to Chicago. There are a few unique things on Chicago boxes which made me think this ambulance could be for Chicago? I thought Chicago was supposed to get some Type 1 ambulances with a Ford chassis. Any chance Chicago switched the Type 1’s to Chevys?

I agree, it does look like someone went stocker crazy. I wonder where they will put the number of the Ambulance now that they put the CFD patch on the door? Does anyone know how many Ambulances the CFD will get this year?

I’m sure that someone knows, but what kind of vehicle do the new (Mobile Integrated Healthcare) Community Paramedics use? And where are their quarters? Thanks.

Kinda preferred the company number on the cab doors. The CFD lettering on the box also looks a bit small. But it’s not my decision so as long as it works for them who am I to complain?

Interesting to see the CFD logo moved to the door but no CFD “scramble”, not a fan of the huge half star of life. I wish they would bring back the “heartbeat” striping from the 90s

This is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s like someone went sticker crazy, it’s all over the place and it looks cheap and cliché. Less is more! I hate everything about it

Though the medics and equipment inside are what counts, it works be nice to see a few with Chicago flag.

Love it all the way around can’t wait to see it

When has anyone complained about the US flag being displayed on government or city property? All it does is make the ambulance look like it’s part of a private ambulance company with a generic decal. I doubt a victim is going to refuse service because of the American flag decal. Not everything is affected by how “woke” Chicago is.

Too bad if they are offended. This is America so the flag belongs on there.

I’m really surprised they put the American flag in the Star of Life for as woke as that city is. I hope the don’t offend anyone. On second thought, I hope they do and f’ them!!!
