Maybe Franklin Park will buy it as a reserve

Wayne, you’re right I was thinking of 103 on Laflin. Nonetheless, streets down there are just as bad.

The shop number indicates it was 104s old rig, which explains the low hours and miles. 250 runs in a good year. The firehouse is at 118th and Avenue O.

That’s crappy west side 46k miles. As far as the hours, the usual rule of thumb is every hour on fire apparatus is equal to 72 hours on a commercial truck.
This thing is a mess. Needs a radiator, transfer case etc. Can’t fix the radiator because the cab won’t tilt. Adelman truck parts is bidding on it. We all know about them.
I’m gonna age myself like I’ve done in the past. Anyone remember when you were in the market for a used car, you never bought one from someone in the city because the suspension was beat to shit as the streets were always full of potholes.

B, 5286 hours is low as well for 21 years.

46k miles is insanely low for a rig that was in front line service for nearly 21 years.

From the outside, it still looks to be in decent shape, but when you delve into it more, it is probably a no-go.

Sounds like a great candidate for the recycling of any material or heading to the scrap yard too many (unknowns)………
