Thanks Tim! You’re absolutely right! I’ve seen it as an Esda light truck and never realized it was the old lime green rescue/squad 2.

Tim, I’m that old myself. I remember the 4 member districts of the old Community Firemens’ Association.

Davey, I knew someone in the Third District had one, just didn’t remember. Am I aging myself by calling it the Third District?
Tom, after Orland Fire was done with it, Orland Police/ESDA got it, painted it white with red and blue stripes and used it as a light unit for a while. It looked better white than it did lime green.

Tim, Phoenix had a lime minipumper, Engine 175. Late 70’s, GMC, 250/350. The rescue truck was in Thornton, 1976 Chevrolet C-30. Purchased with a grant from IDOT.

Tom, you’re right. Orland had one on a GMC chassis and had to be lime green because the feds paid for it (or something similar to that). Lockport had one and I believe Phoenix, IL had one too but can’t remember for sure.

Nice picture Mike! I remember Orland had something similar too this. It was out of station 2 and if memory serves me right it was Lime Green.
