This from Kevin Griffin:
I was out and found 4 CFD buggies at Sutton Ford in Matteson along with probably about 20 CPD cars. All vehicles were the new style Ford Interceptor CFD units found were Battalion 20 and 9 and Deputy District Chiefs 2-2-2 and 2-2-5

Perhaps they ran out of dashes but didn’t have time to dash out and get more dashes. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. 🙂

I wonder why they put 2-2-2 on the hood with the dashes, but left the dashes out on 2-2-5?

Those wheel covers unless they are bolted on almost never stay on anyway so they’re better off just omitting them altogether. My work van is a ’16 TRANSIT CONNECT and 3 of the 4 wheel covers came off over time because plastic does warp over time so no matter what you do, they never seem to stay on.

Battalion 20 isn’t new, must be getting worked on. They got their buggy in 2020.

As far as tradition goes, it sucks that they’re not black over red, but at least they don’t have those cheap ugly looking plastic hub caps on the entire wheels. Happy to see the replacement schedule continues.
