This from Mike Summa for #TBT:
For TBT-The Elwood FPD’s chief’s car, a late 80’s or early 90’s Chevy Caprice. I thought the graphics on this car was interesting. Was this pre-wrap or was this hand painted.? You tell me?Mike Summa

Mike, that’s an 87-89 Caprice. In 86 Chevy went to that body style, but that year had 4 headlights for the low & high beams. GM went to the 1 light bezel in 1987. 1990 was the last year for the box style Caprice. In 1990 the front seats had seat belts mounted in the doors as most other GM sedans had front door mounted seat belts as well that model year.

Hard to believe that most police cars are now FORD EXPLORERS. DODGE still offers the police version of CHARGER but FORD and GM have no sedans at all for police duty.
