From Crossroads Ambulance Sales and Service LLC on Facebook:
Gary Fire Department module is all mounted up to its new RAM Type I chassis! This Medwerks Ambulance Remount is in the electrical hookup stage while interior upgrades are going in simultaneously.
thanks Martin

Your right Marty and that’s what that CFD member told me. But you have to remember that once you get burned on a product, it takes a very long time to come around. You would have thought they would have known better when specing. But live and learn.

crabby, CFDF hated the Rams in large part because the city specced a horrible suspension system not designed for ambulances. If they had specced the liquid suspension they would not have had the majority of the issues.

CHRYSLER has had more than their share of quality issues over the years. I know CFD hated their RAM based chassis ambulances. But FORD is really having a bad time with quality too so perhaps at this point it’s best to take a generic approach based on what they can get and take a chance. Until this preventable supply issue clears up, what the heck can you do?

Love the ram. Glad to see it.

Harry they probably went with the Ram because it was probably the only chassis available. You are going to see a trend of remounts now because the cost is ridiculous to build new and the wait time is even worse.

I am surprised they went with a ram
