Harry, very doubtful. The department is 11 years old, and I don’t think they kept any piece of apparatus more than 5 years. They sell stuff off long before it should be. Maybe a new chief can make a difference.

Yeah no point in using a siren in a parking lot pretty much and blasting those homes.

Why turn the siren on if there’s no traffic in front of the station or even on the street that they are about to join.
Good point about the air horns.

Michael M., what’s interesting about that? Honest question?

Not a bad looking rig. The air horns will get torn off at some point in a snow bank. How close to max GVW is this rig? It’s very easy and very common to overload mini pumpers. I would have gone with a smaller capacity pump just to cut weight.

Interesting how they waited until they got to the street before they turned on the siren.

How many rigs are at their Station 1? It looks like they have the ambulance parked in a strange way. There are 5 bays. The bays we can see are the squad and the engine. The tanker I believe is on the other side of the engine. I think the BC is in the first bay on the other side of the squad.

The mini pumper is making a comeback! It makes more sense to run a piece
of apparatus like this for C02 runs etc than running a $600.000 plus engine
on these types of calls…….
