Congratulations to Fire Chief Mark Hajduk and the Munster Indiana firefighters on the purchase of their new E-ONE HP75 aerial. This apparatus will be equipped with a 500-HP engine and an Allison EVS4500 transmission. It will have a HALE QMAX 2250-GPM pump with a 2000-GPM aerial waterway, 75-ft heavy duty aerial with a 750 lb. tip load, large diameter discharges, oversized plumbing, a 500-gallon Poly Tank, Williams Industrial Foam System, 30-gallon on-board foam cell, with off-truck foam pick up system, all LED emergency lighting, and a complete ISO complement of ground ladders. The 4-man Typhoon cab will come equipped with E-ONE’S side roll airbag system.

Will be funny seeing an E-One in Munster, but I guess they are following Hammond and St. John with these new quints. Highland also has one on order as well.

To clarify, the tower ladder is to remain in service. The new truck is to compliment it and be the second ladder in the town.

You forgot to mention they are also going from a 100ft tower to a 75ft stick, 25ft makes a big difference in ladder abilities.

Another aerial device with no stack tips and an electric combo nozzle. I can hear it now “but it flows just the same as the smooth bore.” Yes it does but, doesn’t have the punch of a smooth bore.
