I should have known you were being sarcastic you’re 100% right. They were a great alternative to the customs price wise and were dependable workhorses

I was being sarcastic. One of the most popular commercial chassis ever. Almost every FD had one at one time or another starting in the late 1950’s.

Crabby there were quite a few C8000 and C9000 Ford chassis used by every apparatus builder in the late 70s thru the early 90s most had Cat diesels and automatic transmissions another popular option was the canopy cabs so three firefighters could sit in the there and not have to ride on the back…..

I don’t think there were too many apparatus built on this FORD chassis so…:)
