They should use it as a front line apparatus for the first few years to work out potential bugs while under warranty. Just not practical to run a large and expensive piece of apparatus for medical assist calls.

Who is manufacturing the new engine?

Though long gone from HP, I can’t believe they STILL use the 2-man companies. If memory serves me right, Ravinia used to be a jump company between 101 and 110.
New rig certainly not a Looker, but hopefully will be effective.

The truck will run out of 33 full time with 3-4 personnel
Squad goes to 34
Engine 32 will be replaced in February with a new engine
2 engines( squad is an engine) and a truck. Simple running orders.
Battalion 33 with 1 out of 33.
Mid mount was the choice due to multiple low viaducts cutting city in half.

Simple no nonsense looking rig. I thought they were going to move the squad to one of the other stations and run this truck as a manned unit.

Looks great. Funny how things go in cycles being that mid mounts have made a bit of a comeback.

The truck will be staffed full-time, Squad will move to 34 and an engine at 32.

Harry they haven’t staffed a truck in 10+ years. Station 32 and 34 are an engine and ambulance and staffed with 4 each 2/2. Station 33 has the battalion, PumperSquad and Truck 33. 1 guy in the buggy and 2 guys man the squad. Their daily staffing is 11. They don’t have a the manpower to staff the truck and what’s it’s been the last 10 years is for mutual aid runs only. Nothing has changed and nothing is going to change.

Oh good, they have a new truck that they can’t man and it will sit there, like the sutphen has been doing. Smart move.
