Addison has a total of 6 ambulances all on a replacement schedule. 4 are in service and 2 are backup. This one is replacing the last of the internationals. 2007ish? Mot sure on the year. Bloomingdale has also ordered another new international for medic 23 and should be here soon.

Did Lockport start staffing an ambulance at Station 6? It’s been a while since I’ve kept tabs on them but last I knew they only had a truck company out of there.

Perhaps they would last longer if they didn’t have to chase after every hypochondriac with hang nails that wants free transportation to a medical facility.

Michael M. Why should ambulances be replaced every 4-5 years? With the cost of them now entities should be looking at probably a 10 year replacement plan for ambulances, then even look into the possibility of a rechassis. When a rechassis is done the box is gone through and repairs are made. The costs of vehicles has gone up more then most entities budgets have.

Nice looking ambulance! Which one will this replace? Keep in mind, ideally Ambulances should be replace every 4 to 5 years. I am sure they have one that is either a 2016 or 17 that is due for replacement.
Bloomingdale got a new Ambulance last year. That one was most likely overdue to be replaced at 7 years.
