From the Fire Service, Inc. Facebook page:
Representatives from E-ONE and Fire Service Inc. were on hand at O’Hare International Airport to help provide in-service training to the Chicago Fire Department as they work with their recently delivered new Tower Ladder 63. This 100’ rear-mount platform boasts Federal Signal LED lighting, a 5” stainless steel aerial waterway, 5” front suction, severe duty interior, and painted ROM rollup doors. In addition to it’s full ladder complement, this custom apparatus boasts many unique storage features that will serve the CFD and Chicago’s international airport for many years.

You really don’t need anything other than a standard electronic siren on that.
If it goes airside, you won’t need it at all other than airhorns.

Love the bucket! What’s on the officer side in front of the bucket?

Looks great. Should give many years of service. So this is mostly for the terminal area and other structure around O’Hare?

I believe I read somewhere along the way that that is the same kind of standard FAA spec for fire apparatus that way if they need to they can put the tower up to the door of an aircraft to be used as a means of egress if a Stairway or a emergency aircraft slide doesn’t deploy

Really sharp looking truck! Love how it turned out! I believe the basket is custom. The airport’s last three versions of Tower 63, the 96 Pierce, the 07 Pierce and the 21 E-One all have similar baskets.

Is that platform basket custom to this apparatus or can any FD order it? I like the work platform, how the door is set, and the offset monitor.
