The old EPFD house on 98th and Washtenaw is still standing. Great little 3 bay volunteer house used up until 2011 I believe. Anyone know for sure or have pics?

Hopefully the light wagon gets picked up by someone in the area. Definitely a cool piece of history.

Bill,
EP’s 10-man crew includes the battalion chief. The manning looks like this:
Battalion 4: 1
Front Line Engine: 3
Front Line Ambulance: 2
Truck 44: 4 (Two go to backup ambulance)
Squad 5 is equipped similarly to the truck (minus the full compliment of ground ladders) and can act as a reserve truck company. Otherwise, it, like all other backup equipment is manned by callback members.

Great shots. The photo of the Rosenbauer Snorkel Squad is impressive.
Does the 10 men on duty include the battalion chief? Is the 2nd out ambulance a jump company or does it have dedicated full time crew? How are the men assigned to the companies?

E50 was traded in when E77 was purchased. The two GMC pickups were sold, replaced by Service 40 and 42 The light wagon will be replaced soon as the Department had acquired a used Ford F-350/Southern Coach that will be outfitted with new generators and lighting equipment. This will be the third generation light unit
The current vehicle is a 1972 and was built in-house. The floods are on a parallel linkage which allows them to be raised: It replaced a Dodge panel truck.
Several vehicles are kept offsite at the maintenance facility.

Engine 49 is back, currently running as the reserve engine, parked behind Ladder 44.
Anyone know if they sold Engine 50? Either to another department or to the production company for “Chicago Fire?”

The light wagon has FF plates, not FD MABAS plates or Municipal plates. It looks like the plate is LW 45. Interesting.

Great shots. Can’t wait to see Evergreen Park updated to the site.
