Here are a few photos of Summit’s new Pierce Saber pumper. It is not in service yet. They are still mounting tools and equipment. It has a 1250-GPM pump, 750-gallon tank, and a 30 gallon foam tank.Jim Skrabel

What a waste of a custom spec

Much needed engine for them. Summit is keeping their Squad 954 and the former engine from Tinley, Engine 953 as a reserve.
Bedford Park and Summit have already entertained the idea of merging, but there’s 2 different unions, IAFF and Teamsters, and the Summit residents wanted to keep their OWN fire department. So it ain’t happening!

Summit fire should merge with Bedford Park. Or Bedford Park should just take over.

Very nice program truck. May get a nose bleed loading hose, but I love the Mars 888 out front.
