Yes Martin you are correct. Ambulance 2 will be the same as 1,3,4,and 5.

If ambulance 2 gets a new ambulance then that means the whole front line fleet is ford?

This engine should serve Lockport well for 20+ years. Maintain her well, and she well take good care of you.

Aluminum rims are about 30 lbs lighter, stronger than steel rims and are better for the tires and brakes as they dissipate heat faster.
The red rims do look cool though and it is a no nonsense rig.

Which engine will this replace?

Same color combo on our seagrave in bourbonnais except we have black wheels and chrome lug nuts. Nice looking Lockport seagrave!

New Ambulance 2 should be delivered soon as well.

Beautiful rig! I personally prefer the aluminum wheels. My department used to spec steel wheels. Unfortunately it seemed like the wheels were being replaced after about 10 years from corrosion. I’ve never had an aluminum wheel fail except from accidents (hitting curbs, holes, etc).

As old Frank Barron would say…Holy Crap.
That is a beautiful color combination. Plus proof that aluminum wheels aren’t needed to look great.

Great looking engine. Love the low hose bed and portable ladders. Never was a fan of ladder arms. I am a little surprised they didn’t opt for the raised roof over the jump seats, like their current models have. Nice job Mike L
