  After looking at the overall picture I have to say that I agree with both Tim and Craig. I grew up in Palos heights graduated from Sandburg in Orland so these departments are also well equipped.Craig is right you need manpower to run a department properly.I also agree about unions my son in law is a Chicago firefighter

  Hellmuth have you gone south of 103rd street? One of the best equipped? If you’re talking apparatus you neeed to go south. Palos, Lemont, Orland, Tinley might be a little better equipped. Craig may be on to something too!!

  Yes, My guess is this will be Engine 77. It will be neat to see 77 on a Engine again!

  Maybe if they invested their money in to staffing instead of ridiculous toys, they wouldnt have to use non- union labor, and actually strengthen the IAFF instead of make it more difficult for every small union dept to explain why they need a union dept.

  As I have mentioned earlier one of the best equipped departments south of chicago!!!
