Harry do you have a job?? Like the rest of us?? Also do departments have to get your approval before they buy a new apparatus? You always seem to know more than others and you always have to get the final word no matter what! Which i find disrespectful! Yes you have every right to state your thoughts but so do others! I just don’t understand your need to be right all the time!

cmk420 and Sebastian
how is it being nosy about what a town is getting if the dept itself tells me
and as for Orlando yes it has nothing to do with Chicago exact that the weather is better the vehicles in fl are better while they do still rust not as bad as here and as for
crabby Milton I assume we all live in the Chicagoland area and as far as I am concerned dodge ram same thing just like the willis tower will always be the sears tower in my eyes either ram dodge suck anyway while I like them but that does not mean I would own one ford f 450-550 is the better choice I mean you guys can argue about this any day of the week but compare a ram ambulance to a ford f 550 the f 550 will last longer that is a fact

Harry might say some stuff you guys might not like but other times he adds information that you may have not known. Also please don’t forget that this website is viewed by the general public and firefighters from around the world.

Well said Sebastian!
He may not be a know-it-all, but it appears he is very nosy since he asks all these departments for this information.
Who honestly cares what’s going on in Orlando? This is “Chicago Area Fire.”

Harry. JEEP and CHRYSER cars an minvans are also sold at those dealers. So are they DODGE too? Are you going to call PIERCE products OSHKOSH as well? RAM is build by FCA who also builds DODGE but that doesn’t mean it’s the same name.

Sebastian while I know ram and dodge are different but they sell rams at dodge dealers I know this for a fact because that is where I test drove a 2018 ram 2500 diesel for nearly 70 000 and the fact they are not made in the usa I wont own a new or newer dodge 02 or older cummins for me
as for cmk 420 this is a public board and I am not a know it all I get all this info from the dept that I am referring to at that time as in wood dale Skokie Itasca franklin park and so on as for my info I hear it from the firefighters and fleet maint div heck city of Orlando fl had a fleet of ram ambos like 14 of them and they were so bad they went back to ford rams are not what they once were

All I am going to say is Harry is a “know-it-all.” He gets told this, he gets told that and so on. He seems to “know” people everywhere and is very nosy. Frankly, it’s getting old. I love the fire & EMS service, and only go by what I see and, perhaps, know. By no means am I an expert, but I don’t go around sticking myself into other people’s business. That is all.

Speaking of the Ram, does anyone know if Lemont got a new Ram ambulance recently? I saw one pulling into Bolingbrook Hospital a few weeks ago and I can’t find any information on it. It looked like it had their new color scheme as well.

Thankfully , Jeep has been Jeep for Decades !!! But i’m sure someone will get the last word Again .

Perhaps FCA should just erase all of it’s brands and go completely generic since some people can’t let go of old names anyway. FCA separated RAM from DODGE in 2010 so how long does it take? I agree about the CROWN VICTORIA and GRAND MARQUIS(my car) that they were twins. This was done because of separate dealership networks. RAM was separated much the way JEEP is.

Back to Crabby’s point!! RAM IS NOT DODGE!!! So stop trying to have the last word always Harry.
#12 by harry on December 3, 2019 - 11:13 PM
crabby that is what I have been told by a former dodge worker however is far as I am concerned it is still a dodge it is just like the cv and grand marquis the grand marquis is basically a rebadged cv with minor differences and newer dodges don’t excite me nearly as much as the old any old diesel is better than the new

Harry you contribute a great deal of info on here and we appreciate it. I hate to correct you but those are RAM trucks not DODGE. It’s been over 10 years.
