I wouldn’t want to be on duty on hose testing day, that’s for sure. The day we got rid of al our 3″ hose was one of the best days of my career. Otherwise it looks pretty cool. PHFD rigs are always unique and interesting.

In regards to the stainless of course it is lighter because the Stainless that is being used is 14 gauge which is super thin and huck bolted together w/ Aluminum Roll-Up doors. Most Aluminum builders are building 3/16” Aluminum or 7 gauge thickness which is much thicker and welded. Not all Stainless Trucks are built the same! Some are very thin material some are 10 gauge or thicker w/ heavy duty Stainless sub structure and heavy duty Stainless Pans doors. Most stainless bodies should be about 2500 lbs heavier than a 3/16 inch aluminum body.

Love the HiVis FireTech lighting! Hope they opted for the HiViz headlights too!

Glad they opted for the stainless but I’m not so sure I agree that the stainless is lighter than the aluminum.

Which one will this replace Engine 9 or 39? My guess is 39.
