The City of Rolling Meadows, IL Fire Department’s Velocity 500-gallon 107’ single-axle Ascendant ladder features an elevated stand pipe connection on the aerial tip, fold-out steps for safety, and exterior cab compartmentation for fire extinguishers. To increase compartment storage the department removed the PS stairs. This aerial carries a total of 127’ of ground ladders. The pump house was modified to incorporate a 2-section 35’ ladder.
