Both trucks are now available and come with the 6.6L Duramax with allison transmission.

Navistar discontinued the diesel used in the Terrastar chassis. They currently have a joint venture with GM on new medium duty chassis which both will sell. GM has announced Chevy versions already which go on sale now/soon. Not sure which engine options it may have.

I think they are ordering two new ambulances exactly like 1 and 4 I’m not exactly sure

Just wasn’t popular. The engine offered was navistars own instead of Cummins. I believe if the Cummins was offered it would have been more popular. At least the east coast was buying them more. Also the GM/Navistar partnership replaced the Terrastar with the CV chassis

Lockport just took got 2 2018 Ford F-550/Horton ambulances this year so I’m assuming they’ll just get another one to replace 3.
And does anyone know why the IHC Terrastar was so short lived?

and I guess by this happening at least they will have a new ambo and something that is still made because the terrastar was short lived about 4 years most depts. are buying around here f550 and where I like going in florida it is rare to see an ambo that is not and ihc or freightliner

Insurance company decision. There is damage on the left side of the box. For them probably best to salvage it out.

I am surprised they would not have remounted the box at least
