NFPA is technically optional. The manufacturers usually make you sign a waiver if you take delivery of a rig that isn’t NFPA compliant. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know exactly how it would go if someone wanted to blame non-compliance on an accident.

Isn’t it an NFPA requirement to have Chevron’s on the rear of a truck? or do some departments just not follow NFPA’s requirements as much as others?

I can only speak for Hurst but their largest Edraulic tools are just as strong, some stronger, than the 10,000 psi tools with reels and pumps.

Looks great. Blue lights huh? That’s fine perhaps their way of supporting law enforcement which is the least anyone can do in backing the badge.

The E-tools are ok but I believe braidwood sees some pretty heavy extrication so they may feel that the hydraulic tools are still what works the best for them.

With the advent of hoseless Edraulic extrication tools and the like I wonder why anyone is going with pumps and reel mounts anymore?
