Before Summit went to the 900 numbers, this engine was numbered 513
The engine was sold to the Des Plaines FD for a parade vehicle.. I was on Summit and had the privilege of answering calls with this rig when it still was in service. One other tidbit, not sure what year but sometime in its service, the motor was replace with a Catt diesel.

Beautiful looking SEAGRAVE there. That series was in production for 19 years ending in 1970. The later versions had more squared off fenders so this one was likely early to mid 1950’s as stated.
This one is a bit different being that is has the “DAYTON” wheels instead of the more popular “BUDD” type that most of these had.
