The red light is part of the warning light package.
They have run a Quint at 27 for 30+ years. This is the 3rd one.

what is the deal with the red led light on the top of the back cab door and also why did they do it to q27 and not the engine to I like them both

I like the looks of the new Buffalo Grove Apparatus. The Quint especially in my opinion is sharper looking then their current KME Quint 27 which has a distinctively top heavy and bulky look to it. Of course the most important thing is how well the rigs perform.
