Went by the Academy today & E73 & 121 are now there

I hope soon for E108. The siren on that spare is different, and while we’re nitpicking, it is high-pitched and whiney and terrible to hear echoing throughout the neighborhood!

When will Engine 108 get their frontline back
#4 by Chuck on October 18, 2016 - 12:06 AM
E108 did something to theirs at an extra alarm last year – think it was the one at Barry & Rockwell – did something bad to the pump and the pump transmission, if I remember the Engineer telling me right.

Looks great and E-ONE builds a good product though I’m sure any number of people would differ as with any builder.

Chris S. They do have red and greens mind you at a small rate. the mirror on the officers side has a green light on it and the mirror on the engr’s side has a red light. I know that’s grasping at straws but at least they’re on there somewhat.

Does anyone know what happened to 108’s rig? It seems like they have been in a spare for months!

Awesome! Lets order more. How would the city take to some E-Max style units?
#10 by Aidan Hughes on October 16, 2016 - 10:19 PM
When will the other two start service? Are the other two going to 73 and 121 as it says? Which engine will get 125’s old Spartan rig?

It’s about time they got it, it’s been at the Academy for 2 months & how about no green lights, sad.

Is a dual rear wheel standard on cfd engines
#14 by Mike on October 16, 2016 - 6:25 PM
Dual rear wheels are standard on all class A pumpers due to the weight of the vehicle. I know some rigs with tandems have a super single on 1 axle. I think that is a rear steer or tag axle. I think the single axles have duals for safety issues.

I love the way the new e-ones look. I hope they hold up. I know the Crimsons are not holding up and Seagraves are expensive. It would be cool if Chicago signs a contract with e-one for future engines and trucks. John
