CODE 4: 3699 CUBA RD

Thu 03/31/2016 @ 21:46

Originally dispatched as a brush fire reported by police. Long Grove arrived, and upon driving down the long driveway discovered the fully-involved, vacant, one-story structure, and it was upgraded to a Code 4. They went defensive from the start and kept the fire from spreading to thick brush and trees nearby. The fire was later upgraded to a Box Alarm for tenders only.

  • Three lines were off: Two 2&1/2s and one 1&3/4. One 2&1/2 switched to a Blitzfire portable master stream later into fire.
  • Tender 56 was the attack pumper
  • Prospect Heights Tanker 9 was the first mutual aid company and fed Tender 56
