More from Steve Redick:
Here is the next installment. Details about FD dispatch and operations as well as a great two-page spread of the overall scene showing all the Ahrens Fox pumpers drafting. A one-of-a-kind historical event. … there’s still more to come

I enjoyed the part of Cicero, Niles, Libertyville, Maywood, Harvey, and Western Springs offering assistance. Quite a diverse group of towns… at least today.

Steve or anybody, I’d like to ask on one more specific thing. As the report says that there were 3 gasoline supply trucks used during this fire, I know that at the time CFD had the smaller 1916 Mack which was originally a hose wagon and a 1923 Mack AC (Bulldog) converted into a fuel truck from an engine. Anybody knows what type was the 3rd rig or how many fuel trucks the CFD operated at the time?? Thanks a lot for any info!
