Michael, the same source told me that the plan was to shave away some of the concrete under the door to increase the clearance. He didn’t elaborate on how/why the truck ended up being built too tall.

Bill Post- From other pictures that Olk took- Glenview Truck 14 and Ambulance 7 were on scene.

Ok, any idea how they are going to fix the door height clearance at the station? Should they have checked that out before they bought the truck?

I read that Glenview was also dispatched to the scene as well. The accident was right on the border between Morton Grove and the Village of Golf which contracts with Glenview for Fire and EMS service,

I was told that there was an issue with the door height clearance at the station that must be fixed before the Tower 2 is placed in service.

Is Niles Tower 2 in Service Yet? From the photos it looks like they are still using the 1997 truck.
