I was hurt to see a popular drama show of rescuing individuals from life threatening situations, after I’ve been writing John Wells of ER, etc., for over 20 years trying to reduce the stupidity promoted by children doing unwise behaviors like riding skateboards without helmets. I knew that SAU had proven me stupid or brain damaged by the 24 intentional falls on their non-accessible campus; Arkansas doesn’t have to follow the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 law. Bill Clinton you would have thought would have cared about south Arkansas, since hope is near, but we are another planet. El Dorado is still denying me access & has for 10 years & those in mobility chairs aren’t considered human by the mayor. Many streets are still non-accessible & they are proud of it, mayor Hash states.
Towards the ending of the program Tuesday night 5/13/14 the young man who was working on the motorbike did what many now learned from him is alright to do; jump on the bike without a helmet & go. You may not know me & may not care, but you’ve spent over $3 million & will pay more because employers will not allow me to do the work I can do. I’m an American & feel I need to work & am grateful for my disability check. However, for the last 15 years plus I’ve tried to work; McDonalds almost killed me because they would not use the skills I learned with two college degrees in hotel & business management, but rather had me doing work like mopping floors, emptying trash cans, loading trucks, restocking supplies, cleaning lobby, restroom, etc., which I didn’t mine it was a job, but with poor balance & coordination which they knew from my speaking events worldwide, I fell four times & before I hurt myself further quit; then I went to work for the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources where my cousin Carla Wardlaw knew of my coma. My boss Pam Beasley yielded at me, I’ve sensitive ears due to the falls or blows to the head which caused a headache, but she said your main job is pulling grass from the flower beds. I also emptied trash cans, watered flowers, moved materials, which required balance & coordination, Carla knew I didn’t have great walking control, etc. Then Pam said I caused trouble among the staff. Instead of being fired, I quit to go to college at Henderson State University, and try to pass college algebra so I could become a certified teacher. I had failed at both UAM several times & SAU several times trying to pass this class & the accommodations were of little use.
In the future please make sure helmets are worn, since our world’s #1 disability is cognitive challenges or negatively identified as traumatic brain injuries. I want America to be better for my family’s children!
We’ve reduced cognitive challenges by 19% over the last 20 years 7 lets see if we can double this in the next 10?

Kugie, I remember seeing this truck a lot when we drove by. Always wondered who owned it.

I have the 1975 Seagrave 100′ Aerial rig that CFD Trk. 57 had and is for sale. Needs body work but all units for raising work well. It’s outside at U-Haul storage on Cicero Ave. S. of Montrose. Had new trans and rebuilt engine just before it was ‘retired’. $5 grand takes it away.
