The Seagrave currently resides as a spare at Station 1. Station 3 currently houses the KME and an ambulance. Waukegan runs 3 full-time ambulances at 1, 3 and 4 and jump companies at Stations 2 and 5.

They got a new Pierce straight stick quint and with that purchase, the truck moved to station 4. I don’t know if the ambulance stayed at station 3 or moved to 4 with the truck.

I have a question regarding 1613 Engine 3. I assume the Engine 3 runs of Station 3, however if that is the case that last that I can remember is that Station three was a small station that only ran with a small Seagrave Aerial Ladder Quint and an ambulance and there really wasn’t much if any more space in the station. In fact the Seagrave Quint had a low profile and it had served as the only manned truck company for the town which is why it was on the west side of town as that was the most centrally located station. So what happened, did they build a new station 3 or did they relocate the truck/quint company?
There really isn’t much information here on the Waukegan Fire Department however their Station 1 (the largest station) is on the south side of town which wasn’t as centrally located as Station 3.

Just FYI, they’ve had this rig for about 3 months. It’s pictured in your posting from September 13: “North Chicago 3rd Alarm fire + 1 special 9-12-11”
