To further clarify the two piece hazardous materials company. It’s going to be the trucks that are in production and the second pieces are going to be on freightliner commercial cabs

The E-One Haz Mat rigs are going to be 2 piece companies same as the squads are. Front rig and rear chase rig. CFD will be going away from the current giant heavy rescue style.

Michael the current squads are G611-613 (Squads 1, 2, 5), G614-616 (Squads 1A, 2A, and 5A) and AVF657 (Squad 7)/AVF656 (Squad 7A). Squad 7s rigs are AVF numbers as they’re maintained by the AMC at O’Hare.

DMc77- You are wholly incorrect in that statement. They’re getting the two new HazMat companies *and* two new squad boxes. If you go to the E-One in-production page you’ll see that there are two units which have three door cabs (for 5-1-1 and 5-1-2) and two units with four door cabs, for the squads. There are four total units in production.

The CFD isn’t getting two new E-One squads, those are the new hazmat rigs.

What shop numbers do the current squads and snorkels have? Do they have 518-523?

It says that the shop # is FDG517 which would make it Squad 5.

Definitely a good thing the CFD will be getting two new E-One squads. They really need them! Any idea which squad this box belonged to? What has been the main issue with the Rosenbauers?
