No, they did not lose an engine or any other rigs but they had some close calls. Some of the rigs started sliding into the lake and had to be tied down, like airplanes on the deck of an aircraft carrier. One of the few fires, possibly the only one, that all three fireboats responded to.

Didn’t the CFD lose an Engine drafting out on the ice/ shoreline during this fire?
And, did they ever remove it?

Very interesting and informative. Sounded like very poor communication on behalf of the McMORMICK PLACE staff. A small fire quickly getting out of hand. Drafting directly from the lake doesn’t seem like the worst idea. Someone please enlighten me if I’m wrong I’m curious.
