Another great ending to another productive week here at the Robbins Fire Department. Here’s a look at further production of our new ambulance since last week that’s being built and is almost completed. As we know, our citizens and community deserve nothing but the best and we will definitely continue to strive for it.
thanks Dennis

The box is a Medtec so it is probably a remount. since Medtec does not build anymore.

See…myself and most people I work with would disagree. In addition to the grossly increased turning radius (which can make running in urban areas really, really frustrating) most of the type I rigs I’ve worked with have far worse rides, both in the front and the back, even with good airbags and/or liquid spring suspensions, are significantly louder, communication between the cab and module is more difficult, and several other things as well. I will give you that there’s more room in the cab in a pickup chassis, but luckily I’ve never done IFT and had to sit in the cab all shift or for long distance transfers.

Darroll, I’ve been a paramedic for a good amount of time and been in F-Series and E-Series ambulances and I think the F is way better. That’s my opinion and Most guys I know would agree

Who is the builder?

ec and tim well the pluses to the f series is 4×4 diesel engine or gas and more space in the cab and because the f series has a bigger front it should handle better in an accident the e series on the other hand does not offer 4×4 diesel or as much space in the cab and bonus if robbins wanted to repurpose this as a flated plow truck later on they could eseries u cant now dont get me wrong that u cant put a plow on an e series because u can i have a picture of a ford e350 4×4 van with plow and i have rode in as a patient in ihc ford f series as a patient and e series while riding to the hospital with injured sick family member and the f series was by far the best

Harrry you didn’t answer EC’s question. He’s wondering why you think an F series is better than an E.

ec i never said there was a differance while working in them i just stated it is unique because an f350 is far lighter duty than a f450 or f550

And, Harry, what exactly makes you think that? Please, use specific anecdotes from your career when explaining how you came to the conclusion that working on a Type I ambulance was better than a Type III.

tim yes i am aware it is not a wealthy town by any means however there public works trucks some of them are 2019-2020 but yes i know they do not have a ton of money heck an f350 ambulance is better than an e series any day

Harry are you familiar with Robbins? One of the poorest communities in the United States.

thats pretty unique since it is an f350 not f450 or f550

So is Robbins actually going to have an manned ambulance or still run with Buds?
