Any fire department spending this much money on a truck better treasure it and take good care of it and hang onto it for as long as possible!

Sadly the supply chain is the reason. But then again so many people complain that something is expensive but never stop and think that nobody wants to work for free either.

You can add an additional 7% to this price point starting May 1 2022. This is the new cost . Per Pierce

Austin, it is mostly a supply chain issue. Every thing is up anywhere from 10-20%. Some parts aren’t even available so a lot of manufacturers can’t assemble rigs. Commercial trucks are even worse. Those builders aren’t even giving delivery dates. They have no idea when some of the parts are going to be available.

Is it 1.7 million because of supply chain issues and inflation, or has Pierce lost their damn minds? I was thinking the low millions for this, I don’t think I have ever seen a truck cost this much. If this is the new norm, whether permanent or temporary, it might make more sense for some departments to switch over to buying a good quality used truck.
