Andy,
Do you happen to know why Peotone got rid of the truck? Would it be a good guess with the parts availability also? Are there any plans for purchasing another truck?

I had heard from a very reliable source the Sutphen is staying and the ALF is leaving due to parts availability mostly. Though I know they were having an issue with the Sutphen again recently so things may have changed.
I believe they are down to just the 2 engines, the pumper tanker, 2 ambulances, the brush truck and a pick up truck. The rest of the equipment is gone.

Seems like Peotone has been downsizing a bit over the past few years. First the Snorkel, then the HAZMAT squad, the Mack tanker and now the truck. Besides the Smeal pumper/tender, do they still have the ARFF RIV, the Sutphen “squad” and ALF engine?

Isn’t this replacing the sutphen

Are they looking at replacing the truck in the near future?
Thank you

They sold the ALF truck to the Serena Fire District in LaSalle County.

Do they still have the ALF Truck?

This engine is going to replace the ALF.

I’d say mostly good in terms of visability. One disadvantage if it cracks, you have to replace the whole thing instead of one side in the case of a split version.

Which engine will this replace? The Ferrara? The one piece windshields are nice for the crew. Give them maximum visability.

What is your opinion on the 1 piece windshield available from Rosenbauer and Pierce?
