This is actually an order placed by Buffalo Grove, though looks very similar to the two Bolingbrook engines that were also just ordered. This engine will replace the 2007 KME engine. The 2016 E-One will likely move to 27 to be the reserve vehicle for Q27 when that is OOS.
The Marion squad (S25) isn’t scheduled for replacement until 2024.

I’m not the biggest fan of the eMAX or PUC pump layout but this is a nice rig! BG is definitely loyal to E-One (for valid reason).

No, this was actually ordered by Buffalo Grove, and it approved by the Village Board in their June 21st meeting. It’s supposed to be replacing the 2007 KME (218), which is in reserve. Presumably, they’re not going to buy a brand new rescue engine to put it into reserve instantly, so I guess they could be putting Engine 26 into reserve.
Delivery is expected in mid-2022, which is when they will have gotten the expected 15 years out of the 2007 KME.

Engine 1 (former Quint 4) is set to be replaced. It has been trouble since they got it. And as Daniel said, it is the oldest frontline suppression vehicle.

BFD switched around their apparatus a bit. The Pierce truck that was running as Truck 1 has been moved to 4 and is running as Truck 4. The Ferrara quint has been moved to station 1 and is running as Engine 1.
I would imagine this would replace Engine 1seeming as how it’s the oldest in the fleet.

Ok, that makes sense. I still wonder which engine this will replace? They have replaced Truck 1, Engine 2 Engine 3 and Engine 5. This might go to either station 4 and replace the Ferrara quint or station 5.

I believe Fire Service posted this in error. This rig was ordered by Bolingbrook and not Buffalo Grove. The comments are on there facebook page.

Which vehicle will this replace? Each BG station has received a new rig since 2016. Are they going to replace the squad? Since this is going to be a Rescue-Pumper my guess is it is going to replace Squad 25 and a engine.
