They are also surrounded by departments with larger sticks or towers. The 75 tower has worked for a long time for Flossmoor, why change just to make a change. It works for them!

Great looking high function rig. In a town of low buildings, short set-backs, years of experience with a 70′ tower, this is a perfect fit. FDNY has 50 75′ towers, Philly has 4 on order. will be maneuverable, easy to retrieve ladders from and get into places larger rigs may not. Also weighs a lot less and can operate in driveways or dry ground close to the fire.

Craig, they had a 78ft Sutphen midmount tower prior to this, that apparently worked well for them, so they stuck with what works.

In the age of short overall length aerials…why oh why would you choose a 75′ platform?
