Agreed, this is another suburban Chicago department that went away from Pierce. However over the last 20 years they have had Seagrave, E-One, Pierce and now Rosenbauer. I am sure like all departments they must have put out bids, I am surprised Rosenbauer came back as the most affordable for two rigs. I wonder if and when they are going to replace their 22 year old HME tanker?
They did get a tax increase approved a year or so ago. My guess the money for these rigs is coming from that increase.
Maybe the next new rig they will purchase will be the tanker.
