and have you ever thought that this site is outdated because a lot of the years don’t match and yes 63 is a 2013 because I asked the guys at 61 today on my way home from portillos the site is way off and yes firetrucks should have at least some blue lights green may be tradion but that means nothing as far as I am concerned

Hey Mike C.. lets not forget that Despite evidence on this webpage and all over the web, that Harry insists des plaines engine 63 is a 2013 and not a 2009 which is stated clear as day on this site!!

This will go to Engine 7 to keep centrally located within the district. It will have a 1250 Gallon tank and be on the Cyclone Chasis.

E-one is a tougher heavier duty rig? What makes it tougher?

Which engine will this one go to? Will it go to Engine 6?

The sharp color combos? WOW! You’re such an expert! Maybe I missed the boat, but color is typically one of the least important things on fire apparatus. I’m pretty sure you can get any color combo on an E-One just as you can on a Pierce.

mike c while eone appears to be made better I still love pierce at least for the sharp color combos they come out with and eone for being a tougher heavier duty rig all in all mike in the southern states including florida pierce is taking over and eone is taking over up here which all in all is fine everybody has different preferances

From what I remember, the Naperville Fire Protection District purchased this engine for the department and it will have a much larger booster tank.

This engine was planned back when the other E-One and the Pierce were planned, it just wasn’t ordered until now.

This is great to see! Did Naperville quickly realize that the E-One is a much better product at a much better price than the Pierce?
