Let’s give it a rest already! New year, clean slate. This is not the intention of this blog to be insulting or bickering amongst each other. Everyone that posts pictures or information brings something to the table to make this great site what it is. So let’s keep it that way, so we can all enjoy it!

next is I don’t follow Romeoville fd but if this is a stainless steel box time will tell how it holds up because if it rust then it is likely stainsteel or if the paint peels it is likely stainless steel

hey mike c not to argue no I am not involved in fire or police but I know a lot been places that most people I am sure have I likely have as many of pictures as larry shapiro does while he takes pictures of scenes rigs and so on I take pictures of snowplows public works truck police fire and tow trucks I have been to about 33 of the 50 states I have driven in nyc about 3 times and many other places but also several years ago I went to elk grove village fd station 7 and at the time I was looking at pictures on the wall of current and past rigs and the ff told me that ambulance is gone and that was what was running as the spare so that is one time where I know more than a ff but quite honestly no need to argue because fire trucks in the Midwest are for the most part boring so it really does not matter

TTguy and everyone else that can’t read or thinks they know more from behind a keyboard than the people who do the job: If a guy with 30 years on Romeoville and the company’s website say it’s a stainless steel body, then it’s a mother effing stainless steel body. Let’s hear another argument about Medtech owning Horton after being bought out by the illuminati causing the demise of the fire service or whatever it is you people argue about.

Highly doubtful this is a stainless steel body??? Aluminum modular ambulance bodies are remounted on new chassis every day, sometimes even multiple times when mileage is accumulated rapidly.

The majority of ambulance I’ve worked in have been Osage’s, they make a solid ambulance and do a good job with re-chassis as well!

A stainless body??? That E-450 chassis must be maxed out on weight!

I have a sneaky suspicion that “harry” isn’t even involved in the fire service. While I am always grateful for enthusiastic fire buffs, I have a good feeling his information comes from blogs, and websites alike, limiting his knowledge.
Good job, Romeoville! I like the simplicity and efficient layout.

RFD boys did a beautiful job on this rig, kudos Brothers. Opted to go back to gas due to numerous problems with other Ford DPRF Systems. Costly and numerous down time. Also Box is all Stainless Steel so option to re mount in future.

Throwback colors…. the 96 Fords were the last solid red ambulances. Great no nonsense rig. Interior looks efficient.

looks nice to bad it is a gas engine still better than internations because they are way to big but they should have stuck with the f series but on the other hand Romeoville gets new vehicles quite quick
