Tri-State had a similar ALF Pioneer back when they had only one station. They also had a rare open cab Army half track (painted red) to handle off-road fires. I wonder if anyone has a photo of that strange rig.

That ALF model is rare period. They had the right idea to have a lower cost custom and while they seemed to sell ok, they just didn’t get over that well.
You could get CHEVROLET gasoline V8 engines in those well into the late 70’s according to a book I have about ALF so it may have been last true customs to offer gasoline engines that late considering diesel was taking hold rapidly in the late 60’s to early 70’s
Nice and clean looking one here though.
