This may not be 100% correct, but from what I have heard this will run out of station 1 as a Quint with 4 guys. The house will no longer have an engine or ambo… If there are multiple ems calls in town and the Quint is not out, then the two jump seat personnel will take the third ambo out. They use to do something similar to this a few years ago before the Ferreras, did not work very well.

Looking at the photos, this was possibly a demo with the cab painted black and being restriped.

Running as a quint out of station 1 makes sense. I was thinking they might do that as well and send the 2010 Ferrara to one of the other stations.
I don’t know how much they got for their tower ladder but I am sure it helped fund this purchase as well.

I wonder why no Ferrara this time for Algonquin-Lake in the Hills. Anybody know why?

They Sold their tower ladder which I assume helped fund this. It is also my understanding that this will run as a quint out of station 1 with out an engine in house.

Same here, I also thought they were broke too! I did not think they would be able to purchase a new truck, unless, they leased this truck. It will be interesting to see if they get a new Ambulance, which they also need. Still a sharp looking truck though.
