Yes, Keith, the “old” Truck 6, has now been renumbered Truck 21, and is Aurora’s reserve truck.
Mike G. – You’re correct, E-One also derived two new engines (in service as Engine 1 and 10) and a new ambulance (Medic 10). We’re expecting to order one more engine (another E-One with the same specs) this year — to be delivered late in 2012/early 2013 — and another ambulance.

Sharp looking tower! Is Aurora keeping the former Tower 6 for a reserve? That link Mike G posted has pics of all of those new apparatus delivered/ordered.

It is wrong. the rear gvw should be 60k and the front is a meritor rated at 22800. You can tell by the wider tire on the front. its probably a gvw rating of one of their engines.

My depts E-one 95′ towers rear is rated at 23,800lbs, and it’s a quint with a substantially higher gvwr.

Why is the rear axle rating only 24,000,when generally tandems are rated at 34,000?
