The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD is expecting delivery of their new Pierce 105′ quint next week. It will be black over red with a black ladder similar to the new truck in Homewood.

In addition, the first of the existing Lincolnshire-Riverwoods units to have the white roof repainted black is Engine 51 which recently came back from the paint shop. Engine 52 is due to go out for bodywork and a new black roof shortly.

looking @ a new rig Tower Ladder Aerial and bucket are all black …blue LED lighting , should look really cool but thinking there might be a problem with shadowing At night on the rungs? has anyone had any trouble with that ?

Have you ever had any problems with the aerial being black.
