This unit was built on a Ford F-550 4×2 chassis and came equipped with a custom Liquid Spring suspension system. Congratulations to Chief Chad Kooyenga and Lansing Fire Department on the recent purchase of their NEW 2022 Wheeled Coach Type I custom ambulance. This unit will come on a 2022 F-550 4×2 chassis complete with a Liquid Spring rear suspension system, 170” module, 72” interior headroom, custom interior cabinetry, Whelen LED emergency and scene lighting, drop skirt body sides for ease of entry, Per4 Max Restraint Systems, and a Stryker Power Load System. This will be Lansing’s second Wheeled Coach unit. We appreciate the continued business.

Lansing had a busy day. After sending an engine to Cal City and Munster, they had to deal with a fire of their own in the 18500 block of S. Oakley AVE. They also had a medical call during the fire which South Holland took.

Tuesday morning, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and slammed his semi into an apartment building in the 18400 block of S. Torrence AVE. Divisions 19, 24 & 27 responded with tech rescue teams. No fatalities, extrication of the driver took around an hour.
