MVA with a motorcycle in Wheeling, 5-30-17

Wheeling police and firefighters were called to the intersection of Dundee and Schoenbeck Roads Tuesday evening (5/30/17) for a crash involving a car and motorcycle. The motorcycle carried two people who were lying in the street when the police arrived. Both were transported to the hospital in addition to the driver of the car. All three Wheeling ambulances and both engines were on the scene in addition to Battalion 24 and Chief 2400.

Buffalo Grove firefighters and police were called to Lake Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road Tuesday afternoon (3/21/17) for a two-car crash with a reported pin-in. Arriving companies stabilized one car that knocked down a traffic light and removed the occupant who was transported to an area hospital by Buffalo Grove Ambulance 26. The occupant of the second car was not transported after being evaluated by Long Grove paramedics.

Buffalo Grove firefighters and police were called to Buffalo Grove Road near Bernard Drive Sunday morning (3/18/17) for a two-car crash with a reported pin-in. Arriving companies performed a simple door pop to gain access to the occupant of one of the vehicles that was transported to an area hospital. Two occupants of the second car involved refused transport.

I got a chance to grab a few pictures of the new BGFD ambulance that was delivered last week. It’s a 2015 Horton on a Freightliner chassis sold by Foster Coach Sales. It’s currently being stocked and having some final touches taken care of plus training. It is slated to go in service as A25 by the end of the year.
