Firefighters in Forest Park pulled up on a fire this morning before 4AM at 7230 W. Madison and immediately requested a MABAS Box Alarm for assistance. They had heavy fire in the rear of a commercial building that housed a restaurant on the first floor and a bar above it. The Forest Park tower ladder went to work along with a truck from Berwyn. Cicero, Oak Park, River Forest, Riverside, and North Riverside companies all responded either on the bo or the initial alarm.

The box was struck out after several hours. The Chicago Tribune has a brief article HERE.

The blaze broke out about 4 a.m. on the back porch of Skrine Chops, 7230 W. Madison St. and spread to the rest of the building, said Forest Park Fire Chief Steve Glinke.

Tim Olk was at the scene and submitted several images. He has a gallery HERE.
