Images of apparatus assigned to Cicero Station 3 on 34th Street have been updated. A recent trip to the area by several photographers on a sunny day provided the means for nicer photos of the tower ladder, engine 3 and the spare truck. The group consisted of Bill Friedrich, George Reichart, Don Feipel, Jeff Schielkie, Steve Redick, Hank Sajovic, and Larry Shapiro.

Suspects in fatal Cicero fire appear in court

On Valentine’s Day, an intentionally set fire resulted in the deaths of seven people in Cicero. The men charged with the crime appeared in court yesterday. Firegeezer.com, a fire service blog, has the details HERE and the Chicago Tribune has an article HERE.

The Cicero Fire Department has been added to Division 11. Cicero has 3 stations, runs 3 engines, 2 trucks, 4 contract medic units and has 1 shift commander. Featured in Station 1 is a 2009 EONE HP100 TDA – the only EONE TDA in Illinois and one of just a few in Northern Illinois.
