Inverness doesn’t have much of a tax base beyond residential properties. Years ago they finally passed a referendum , after it failing multiple times and the district putting off apparatus replacement and reducing staffing. They only run about 1500 runs a year and their mechanics Tony C, keeps a very good maintenance program and writes a really good, no frills spec. The engine that just got replaced I think was a 2010, and the tanker that’s being replaced is almost 30 years old.

I believe it has been 16 or 17 years since they purchased a suppression rig. I am guessing they have been saving up all these years for this purchase.

I’m sure the Inverness tax base is good but they have also demonstrated being wise with their money.

Glad they did not have to wait 4 years for new rigs! Sharp looking rigs!
