The Bell on the Crestwood Engine is off their old 1970s Seagrave that was T boned and totaled, as a sign off heritage respect callit what you want.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Look how many departments adopted the green lights on the officer side over the past couple of decades too.
Personally, I would like to see some department go solid black and see if that catches on.

The Crestwood engine looks nice just needs a federal q and ditch the bell
As for Midlothian fd they are do for a pierce enforcer engine soon and a new Tahoe
